Got this invite to a workshop today maybe I should go: "In most English speaking countries it is normal and necessary to make small talk in certain situation. It is sometimes considered rude to say nothing.
Big Help for Small Talks
Helps you to gain a better understanding of small talks, certain topics that people often discuss during these moments and knowing how to start a conversation " I just found that amusing to read.
Also, USA ran a House marathon the other day. While I'm not a huge fan of the show it is entertaining. I was thinking of how to make a drinking game for watching. Here's what I have so far.
Take a drink every time one or more of the following happens: -someone says the word "symptom" or "diagnosis" -house gestures with his cane -a bet is offered -characters discuss how outrageous a patient's situation and/or diagnosis is -the team considers the patient to simultaneously have two diseases/injuries/problems/etc. -Hugh Laurie's Britishness shows (ex. wearing a scarf) -House says something sexist -House pops a pill or two or three -House watches his daytime soap opera -character's discuss House behind his back especially about him being a jerk or a brilliant doctor -someone complains about the team not being able to figure out what is wrong or taking a long time
Finish your drink when the crappy ending song and montage play.
Any others? Note I tried to avoid the obvious things like drink every time House says something sarcastic. God, that never happens. |

I think if I was the person to take the most craps on the third Tuesday of every month ESPN would consider it history making?
Sometimes I think Facebook is mocking me. All these targeted adds about being 22 and single.
When I first saw that new commercial where the lady says she just has one life and one body, the first thing I thought was "This commercial's offensive to Hindus."

Yesterday morning as I walked to school this construction guy told me: "Study hard man, you don't want to end up a fucking roofer like me, sweating your nuts off in the hot August sun." That's something that'll follow me for the rest of my life. |

Coming back to Hammond on Thursday night. As it is my birthday on Sunday, I would like to do something on Saturday night. I'll be turning 21, finally. Post if you would like to partake in the celebration whatever it will end up being. (It'll probably involve alcohol.) |
